Say a Little Prayer

I feel it bubbling up
From deep down inside
I try to hold it back
But I know sooner or later,
It will explode.
So I close my eyes, hold my breath,
And pray for my angels
To wrap their wings around me;
To carry me away
But far too soon that feeling finds a way
The fears begin to file in
The cold slowly hits,
And the frustration screams out in pain.
As the little bravery left
Quickly fades
I close my eyes, holding tight,
And pray
God I’m begging you, give me strength.
